Local knowledge

We know Lakewood.

Our drivers are based in and around Lakewood. We know Cedarbridge Avenue, Route 9, and every route that gets you there on time. When you book with Lakewood Rides, you're getting a local driver — not a GPS-following stranger.

Lakewood has one of the largest Orthodox Jewish communities in the United States, with hundreds of yeshivas and non-public schools. We proudly serve this community with reliable, discreet transportation.

How a personal driver compares

Personal driver Rideshare Traditional car service
Pricing transparency Flat rate, no surge — you know the price before the ride. Surge pricing during peak hours; quote changes until you tap confirm. Often metered or quote-only; not always published up front.
Driver consistency A small, vetted team that knows the routes and the clients. Different driver every trip; no continuity. Varies by company; some keep a roster, others dispatch whoever is next.
Vehicle choice Your car or our car — you decide. Assigned vehicle category only. Fleet vehicles only.
Availability On-demand, scheduled, and last-minute — 24/7. On-demand only; scheduling is limited. Reservation-driven; same-day often needs notice.
Local knowledge Local drivers who know the neighborhoods, the traffic, and the venues. GPS-only; drivers are often not local. Depends on the dispatcher; local expertise varies.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of events do you cover?

Weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, Sheva Brachos, anniversaries, proms, company parties, hotel conventions, and visits to rabbonim. If guests need to arrive together or on a tight schedule, we're the call.

Can guests be picked up and dropped off separately?

Yes. We routinely run multiple guest pickups to a single venue, and then drop each guest home at the end of the night. Routes are built around your program — not the other way around.

Do you serve elderly guests or family members who shouldn't drive?

Absolutely. A chauffeur is often the right call when a guest can't, shouldn't, or simply doesn't want to drive themselves — including elderly relatives and those celebrating. Tell us about accessibility or assistance needs when you book.

How far in advance should I reserve?

Saturdays in season (wedding season, bar-mitzvah season, prom season) book out weeks ahead. Weekday events usually have more flexibility. The earlier the better, but we will always try to help with short notice.
